I have very happily discovered that Caligo printing inks (water washup) can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container once mixed, and be used again as the base for the next colour. The last lot of ink lasted for 2 weeks before re-using.

 I am really enjoying the making of this print even though I am only three layers in. With this pale blue layer I can see the water and sky coming through. I love the Fabriano paper with it's strength and lovely texture. With only four weekends until the Easter Arts Festival I'm going to have to print a layer a week at least. The studio is my sanctuary after a busy week at work, a place of calm and creation.

I have one new painting finished (Elephant Rocks) and another of Nanarup Beach started for my open studio as part of the Southern Regional Easter Arts Festival. I will have my studio open 12th-21st April (except Wednesday 16th). My focus for new works will be the coastline of the Great Southern with its beautiful rock formations and clear waters. So much inspiration!
